I work at the intersection of technology, business and multimedia communication. As a Business Designer at IDEO Tokyo, I strive to restore creative confidence in Japan, with a particular interest in helping technology companies envision an exciting and human-centered future.
Previously, I worked at ispace, a Tokyo-based space startup aiming to commercialize lunar exploration, where I was responsible for building business development strategies and establishing communication channels across global partners, customers and media.
I am also an active freelance science writer with a focus on space exploration. I have contributed to Space.com, Air&Space Smithsonian Magazine and I am currently writing regularly for Wired Japan.
For me, outer space is a playground that helps me challenge the norm. Its harsh but intriguing environment forces us to re-think even the simplest actions we take on Earth.
I spent my early life in both USA and Japan, and spent the teenage years in Switzerland. I graduated from Brown University with a degree in Astronomy.
